I know that buying nursery furniture online... especially for the first time... can feel like a LOT. There are so many options, so many things to consider, and honestly so much conflicting information out there. So I put together answers to the questions I get asked most often. If you don't see your question here, please don't hesitate to reach out directly! I genuinely love helping people figure this stuff out. 

 


About Our Furniture

Q: What makes your furniture different from what I'd find on Amazon or Wayfair?

A: The biggest difference is quality and construction. Most cribs sold on Amazon or Wayfair are what we call RTA... which stands for "ready to assemble." That means they arrive in a flat box and you put them together yourself, kind of like an expensive IKEA situation. The furniture we carry is sold fully built by professional brands that have been in the industry for decades. Solid construction, real wood, real craftsmanship... and it shows. These are pieces that will last through multiple children, not just one.

 

Q: Are your cribs safe? What certifications should I look for?

A: Safety is honestly the first thing I look at when I'm deciding which products to carry. All of the cribs on our site meet current ASTM International and U.S. CPSC safety standards. Many of them are also GREENGUARD Gold Certified, which means they've been tested for over 10,000 chemical emissions and VOCs... so the air around your sleeping baby is as clean as possible. You'll see the GREENGUARD Gold badge on any product that carries that certification. When in doubt, just ask me!

 

Q: What does "convertible" actually mean? Is it worth it?

A: A convertible crib... also called a 4-in-1... starts as a standard crib and can eventually convert into a toddler bed, a daybed, and even a full size bed with the right conversion kits. In my opinion? Almost always worth it. You're essentially buying furniture that will last your child from birth all the way through their teenage years. The upfront cost is higher but when you factor in that you're not buying a toddler bed, then a twin bed, then a full bed... it pays for itself very quickly.

 

Q: Do your dressers come with a changing tray?

A: Most of our dressers are compatible with a removable changing topper that sits right on top and gives you a dedicated diaper changing station without taking up any extra floor space. Some changing trays are included and some are sold separately depending on the brand... so just check the product description or reach out and I'll let you know exactly what comes with what!

 

Q: What brands do you carry?

A: We carry a carefully curated lineup of brands that I personally stand behind... including Romina, Pali, Silva, Namesake, Babyletto, Baby Appleseed, Westwood Design, Stella Baby, Evolur, Sorelle and more. Every brand we carry has been vetted for quality, safety, and longevity. If I wouldn't put it in my own nursery, it's not on this site.

 


 

Delivery & Assembly

 

Q: Do you really deliver AND assemble for free?

A: Yes, really! On qualifying orders within our delivery zone, we offer complimentary white glove delivery and assembly. That means our team comes to your home on a scheduled date, brings everything into the room of your choice, assembles every single piece professionally, and hauls away all of the packaging when we're done. You literally just point and tell us where you want it.

 

Q: What does "white glove delivery" mean exactly?

A: It means we treat your home and your new furniture with the utmost care from the moment it leaves our warehouse to the moment it's set up in your nursery. We're not a drop-and-dash delivery service. We schedule a time that works for you, we bring everything inside, we put it all together, and we leave your nursery looking exactly the way you envisioned it.

 

Q: How far do you deliver?

A: We currently serve New Jersey and the surrounding tri-state area. If you're not sure whether you fall within our delivery zone, just reach out and we'll let you know right away!

 

Q: How long does delivery take after I place my order?

A: Delivery timelines vary depending on the item and whether it's in stock or needs to be ordered. Many of our collections have quick-ship options that can be delivered within a couple of weeks... others may take a bit longer if they're made to order. You'll see estimated timelines on individual product pages, and we'll always keep you updated every step of the way. We know you have a due date... and we take that seriously!

 

Q: What if I live outside your delivery zone? Can I still order?

A: Absolutely! For customers outside our local delivery area, we ship via freight carrier. Shipping costs and timelines will vary by location. Reach out to us before ordering and we'll walk you through exactly what to expect for your specific address.

 


 

Orders & Returns

 

Q: Can I place an order online and have it delivered?

A: Yes! That's exactly what we built this site for. Browse, choose, order... and we'll handle everything from there. If you ever want guidance before placing your order, I'm always available via the chat or by email. Think of me as your personal nursery concierge.

 

Q: What is your return policy?

A: Because our furniture is large, assembled, and delivered with white glove service, returns are handled on a case-by-case basis. If something arrives damaged or there's an issue with your order, we will absolutely make it right... that's a promise. Please reach out to us within 48 hours of delivery if there's any concern and we'll take care of you.

 

Q: Do you offer financing or payment plans?

A: We currently accept all major credit cards and are exploring additional payment options. Stay tuned... and in the meantime if you have questions about larger orders just reach out and let's talk!

 

Q: Can I order just one piece or does it have to be a full set?

A: You can absolutely order individual pieces! There's no requirement to buy a full collection. That said, even though many of our brands offer beautiful matching sets and is the majority of what we sell (hence the special offer on free delivery & assembly), if you'd like to purchase just an item or two, that is still totally fine, but for any unders under $2,499 there is a $189 delivery & assembly fee regardless of the size of the order. If you happen to be interested in something super small like just a toddler rail or mattress, reach out to me directly and depending on where you live I will work with you on a special price to ship the item to you so that you don't have to spend more on the delivery than you would on the item itself. It's not always possible, but it's at least worth reaching out and asking!


 

Design Help & Mood Boards

 

Q: I have no idea what style I want. Can you help?

A: This is literally my favorite part of the job. Yes, I can absolutely help! The first thing I always ask is: do you have a Pinterest board? If you have any inspiration at all... a color, a vibe, a theme... send it my way and I'll put together a custom mood board showing you exactly how different furniture options would look in your space. It's a free service and it has helped hundreds of families make their final decision with complete confidence. Just reach out!

 

Q: What is a mood board and how does it work?

A: A mood board is basically a visual preview of your nursery before you buy anything. I take your wall color, your flooring, your theme or style inspiration... and I drop in the furniture options you're considering so you can actually SEE how the room comes together. It takes the guesswork completely out of the decision. Customers who get a mood board almost always know instantly which direction to go. And it's completely free... because I want you to love your nursery.

 


 

Product Questions

 

Q: Do I need to buy a mattress separately?

A: Yes... cribs do not come with a mattress included. But don't worry, we carry a great selection of crib mattresses that are sized to fit our cribs perfectly. A properly fitting mattress is actually really important for safe sleep, so we always recommend buying your mattress from the same place as your crib to make sure everything lines up correctly.

 

Q: What is a conversion kit and do I need one?

A: If you buy a convertible crib, a toddler rail and/or a full size bed conversion kit are what allows you to eventually transition it from a crib into a toddler bed, daybed, or full size bed as your child grows. Most toddler rails & conversion kits are sold separately from the crib itself and are brand-specific... meaning you need the kit made specifically for your crib model. We carry conversion kits for all of the cribs we sell, so you'll always be able to find exactly what you need right here... but don't forget to add it to your order if it's something you would like!

 

Q: I saw a product I love but I'm not sure which color to choose. Can you help?

A: Of course! Color decisions are so personal and they're also so much easier when you can see them in context of your whole room. Send me your inspiration and I'll put together a quick mood board showing you the different color options in your actual space. It makes the decision SO much easier... I promise.

Q: Do you have a physical showroom I can visit?

A: Technically yes we do! My family has operated a brick-and-mortar furniture showroom in New Jersey since 1989, and you are always welcome to come in and see some of the furniture that we carry on our site in-person inside of their showroom! There is truly nothing like being able to touch and feel a piece before you buy it.. and we are all family here anyway!
