Collection: Namesake

(where vintage meets modern + cottagecore dreams come true)

Namesake is the evolution of Million Dollar Baby Classic... a brand with over 30 years of heritage in the nursery industry, reimagined for today's parents. The name says it all: this is furniture you choose because it means something, because it carries a story, because it's the kind of piece you'd name in a will someday.

Namesake blends classic design traditions with genuinely modern sensibilities... think elegant iron cribs inspired by vintage American metalwork, solid Poplar hardwood farmhouse collections with beautifully textured finishes, and gliders and recliners upholstered in eco-performance fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles. The range is wide enough to cover traditional, modern farmhouse, transitional, and everything in between. Every piece is GREENGUARD Gold Certified, lead and phthalate safe, and designed to convert and grow with your child. Namesake even offsets 100% of the CO2 emissions from their online orders. This is a brand that thinks about the long game... for your family and for the planet.

rae rae's take

what i love

The range of aesthetics within one brand is really impressive. You can go full traditional with the iron cribs or full modern farmhouse with the Emory collection... and both feel distinctly Namesake. A few of their recliners are also some of my favorites in the whole industry. Comfortable, beautifully upholstered, and built to survive years of late-night feeding sessions. The Sarah Flint x Namesake collaboration pieces are stunning if you want something truly special. These guys know a thing or two about the “cottage core” aesthetic and it’s for sure one of my favorite styles in a nursery at the moment. Classy and timeless, yet still somehow managing to feel modern.

what to know going in

Namesake's iron cribs are a very specific look... incredible for the right nursery, but not for everyone. Make sure you love the aesthetic before committing because these pieces are statement-makers. The wood collections are more versatile. Also worth noting: conversion kits are typically sold separately (unlike their Babyletto counterparts) so grab yours when you order the crib if you want your crib to convert to a toddler bed or full size bed one day!
